Creating Your Account

Signing up for PerkHit is quick and free:

  1. 1 Visit any business's loyalty card page or scan their QR code
  2. 2 Click "Sign Up" or "Join"
  3. 3 Enter your email address and name
  4. 4 Check your email and click the verification link

No app download required - PerkHit works in your web browser!

Logging In

PerkHit offers two ways to sign in:

Magic Link (Recommended)
  1. Enter your email address
  2. Click "Send Code"
  3. Check your email for the code
  4. Enter the code - you're in!
Password
  1. Enter your email address
  2. Enter your password
  3. Click "Sign In"

How It Works

Scan the QR code → Get your unique 7-character member code → Start earning points instantly. No forms, no passwords, no waiting.

Your Member Code

You'll receive a unique 7-character member code. This is your instant member code.

  • Easy to remember
  • Staff can look you up by code or name
  • Shown at the top of all your loyalty cards

Important: Protect Your Rewards

Without an email address, your account is tied to your device. If you lose your phone or clear your browser data, you'll lose access to your rewards.

Recommended: Add your email in Profile settings (takes 10 seconds) to protect your points and access your account from any device.

Can I Add My Email Later?

Absolutely! Just go to Profile → Settings and add your email address. Benefits include:

  • Access from any device (phone, tablet, computer)
  • Receive special offers from businesses
  • Never lose your rewards if you lose your device
  • All your points and progress automatically transfer

After logging in, you'll see your "My Cards" dashboard. This shows all the loyalty programs you've joined.

Each card shows your current balance and any available rewards you can claim.

How Points Work

Points cards let you earn points based on how much you spend. For example, a coffee shop might give you 1 point for every dollar spent.

To earn points:

  1. Make a purchase at the business
  2. Show your digital card to the staff member
  3. They'll scan your QR code or look up your account
  4. Points are added instantly to your balance

How Stamps Work

Stamp cards work like traditional punch cards - make a certain number of purchases to earn a reward.

To earn stamps:

  1. Make a qualifying purchase
  2. Show your stamp card to staff
  3. They'll add a stamp to your card
  4. When your card is full, claim your reward!

Example: Buy 9 coffees, get the 10th free.

Checking Available Rewards

  1. Open the loyalty card
  2. Look for the "Rewards" section
  3. Rewards you can claim will be highlighted
  4. Unavailable rewards show how many more points you need

How to Redeem

  1. When you have enough points, tap on the reward
  2. Review the reward details
  3. Tap "Redeem" when you're ready to use it
  4. Show the redemption screen to staff
  5. They'll confirm and process your reward
Important: Only tap "Redeem" when you're ready to use the reward. Once redeemed, it cannot be undone.

Vouchers are special one-time rewards. You might receive them for birthday rewards, special promotions, apologies for service issues, or referral bonuses.

Saving a Voucher

  1. Click the voucher link in your email
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Click "Save Voucher"
  4. Find it in your "My Cards" section

Using a Voucher

  1. Go to "My Cards"
  2. Find your voucher
  3. Show it to staff when ready
  4. They'll scan or enter the code

Vouchers typically expire, so check the expiration date.

Access your settings by logging in, clicking your profile icon, and selecting "Account Settings."

Avatar & Name

Upload a profile picture and set your display name.

Email Address

Change your login email (requires verification).

Password

Set or update your account password (min 6 characters).

Language & Time Zone

Choose your preferred language and local time zone.

Email Preferences

Control marketing emails from businesses.

I'm not receiving emails

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Add [email protected] to your contacts
  • Verify your email address is correct in settings

My points didn't show up

  • Wait a few minutes - sometimes there's a short delay
  • Refresh the page
  • Check you're viewing the correct card
  • Contact the business if points still missing

I can't log in

  • Make sure you're using the correct email
  • Try the "Magic Link" option instead of password
  • Use "Forgot Password" to reset
  • Clear your browser cookies and try again

The QR code won't scan

  • Increase your screen brightness
  • Clean your screen
  • Hold the phone steady
  • Ask staff to manually look up your account by email

Your Data

  • We only collect what's needed for loyalty programs
  • Businesses see only your activity with their program
  • We never sell your personal information

Account Security

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Don't share your QR code publicly
  • Log out on shared devices

Enter Code is an alternative to scanning your QR code. If scanning isn't working or isn't convenient, staff can generate a short code for you on their terminal.

Tap "Enter Code" on your loyalty card, type it in, and your points are added

Codes expire after a short time and can only be used once. Enter it before you leave the store.

Request from Staff at the Shop

This flips the normal flow. Instead of showing your QR code for staff to scan, you generate a special QR on your card and staff scans it on their end. Great if you forgot to show your card before paying.

Generate a Request Link for Any Member

You can also generate a personal request link and share it with anyone - not just staff. This lets other members send points directly to your card. Select the card you want to receive points on, generate your link, and share it however you like.

How it works

  1. Go to "Request Points" on your loyalty card
  2. Select the card you want to receive points on
  3. Tap "Generate Link"
  4. Share the link with anyone via text, email, or social media
  5. When they open it and send points, they're added to your card

Request links are limited to 5 uses, so share them thoughtfully. Generate a new link when you need more.

Some businesses run tier programs to reward their best customers. Think airline miles or hotel status - the more you earn with a business, the better your benefits get.

How Tiers Work

Automatic

You level up automatically after every purchase. No buttons, no forms. You get an email when you reach a new tier.

Based on lifetime points

Your tier is based on total points ever earned with a business, not your current balance. Spending points never drops your tier.

One tier per business

If a business has multiple loyalty cards, your tier applies to all of them. Each business has its own tier system though.

Multiplier perks

Higher tiers often earn bonus points on every purchase. A 2.0× multiplier means double points.

Where You See Your Tier

  • Tier badge on cards - like 🥇 Gold or 💎 Platinum
  • Multiplier badge - shows your bonus rate, like "🥇 1.5×"
  • My Cards page - your tier status is listed there once you earn one
  • On the reward page - so you remember what bonus you're getting

Not every business uses tiers. Some keep it simple with just points or stamps. If you don't see a tier on a card, that business just doesn't offer one - your points still count.

Tracking Your Referrals

Visit the Referrals page in your dashboard to see how many friends you have referred, who has made purchases, and your total bonus points earned.

PerkHit works like a real app on your phone, but without downloading anything from the App Store. Tap an install button once and you have a home-screen icon just like Instagram or your banking app. Here is how to install it on each device:

iPhone / iPad (Safari)
  1. Open PerkHit in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow up)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap "Add" in the top right
Android (Chrome)
  1. Open PerkHit in Chrome
  2. Tap the 3-dot menu (top right)
  3. Tap "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap "Install" to confirm
Desktop (Chrome / Edge)
  1. Open PerkHit in your browser
  2. Look for an install icon in the address bar
  3. Click it and confirm "Install"
  4. App opens in its own window

Some browsers will show a built-in install prompt automatically when you visit. If you see it, just tap Install - that works too.

What You Get

  • A home-screen icon like any other app
  • Opens in its own window without browser bars
  • Faster loading because the app is cached
  • Your QR codes work offline at the register
  • View cards you have previously opened, even with no signal
  • Everything syncs automatically when you reconnect

You don't have to install PerkHit to use it. It works the same in any browser. Installing just makes it faster to open and lets your cards work when you have no signal.

Your account, your data, your rules. PerkHit gives you full control over your personal information.

Download Your Data

Go to Profile then Privacy & Data, and request a download of your data. You get a copy of your personal info, card history, and all your transactions. You can use this however you like - save it, print it, keep it for your records.

Leave a Business

You can remove your relationship with individual businesses without deleting your whole account. Your other cards stay active. Use this if you no longer visit a business and want them off your list.

Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it.

⚠️ Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • All your points, stamps, and vouchers are erased
  • Your card history and transaction records are removed
  • We cannot recover anything after you delete - there is no way to bring it back

Before you delete: redeem any balances you have. Consider downloading your data first if you want a record. If you only want to leave one business, use "Leave a Business" above instead.

All of these controls live in Profile > Privacy & Data. Every privacy action you take is logged for your own accountability.
